At Resolute Ag, we value growers' crop nutrition plans and the importance of utilizing those nutrition plans the best way we can. When coming across Vantage Ag’s Crop Nutrition technology, we immediately reached out and started a discussion. This season we started applying Vantage Ag’s new Quantum Ag Liquid Fertilizer Technology on our grower customers’ fields and immediately saw results. We started using their Nitrogen, Phosphate, Potassium, Zinc, and Boron products. The ability to provide our grower customers with a solution to feed their crop when they are applying herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides is a game changer. Low rates, low-cost investment, more nutrients getting into the plant compared to traditional granular fertilizer, and to meet our customers expectation by making them more profitable is a win! With Vantage Ag’s products we can maximize our growers’ crop nutrition plans and maximize their ROI for their farm.

We used Vantage Ag’s new liquid fertilizer technology across all our barley and canola acres this year, and to be frank, we were blown away by the results. By reducing our front-load granular fertilizer by 65% and applying Vantage Ag’s Sub-Nano N during our herbicide operations, our yields were just as strong, and in many cases higher than any of our neighbors’ crops.

We quickly realized this new technology has the potential to drastically reduce our risk while improving efficiency. By cutting back on granular fertilizer front load, we were able to seed more acres per day, lower trucking and storage costs, and minimize risk in the event of an unfavorable growing season.

There are also clear long-term benefits: applying less salt helps maintain soil health, prevents pH decline, and supports better seed germination.

This season, we applied a blend of 35-10-0 on all our barley acres and added Vantage Ag’s Sub-Nano N at 500 mL per acre at herbicide timing. For our canola, we used a 35-11-0-5 blend and added 250 mL of Sub-Nano N per acre as a split application at herbicide and bolting.

A few years ago we decided that we couldn’t continue placing large amounts of salt based synthetic fertilizer in the soil at seeding time and hope for a crop.  This strategy no longer worked, with severely increasing input costs and adverse effects we where seeing to the soil, the risk was too high.  We decided that we needed to shift our thinking and reduce our front load fertilizer at seeding time to a minimum and if we got rain we could chase higher yields with foliar applied nutrients.  The issue we had was that current foliar technology didn’t allow us to get much nutrient into the plants in a foliar application. Last year we started using Vantage Ag’s new Quantum Ag liquid fertilizer products and we were astounded at the how much nutrient we could get into the plant in a foliar application and at such low rates and cost.  We were so impressed with this new technology that we decided we wanted to sell this product to other growers in our area that also needed this technology. This year we hired an agronomist to do tissue sampling for our us and our customers.  We decided that we would fertilize for 35-40 bushel durum and when the opportunity came with rain in June we now had the ability to use this new technology to get whatever nutrient was short in the plants in whatever quantity that we needed.  It was so easy to do; tissue sample to find out what nutrient was required; and tank mix the nutrients with whatever herbicide we were applying in the sprayer and within a few hours we had remedied the fertility issues. We saw tissue samples go from red to green on Phosphate, as an example, with a $7 per acre investment.  These new products from Vantage Ag have changed the way we farm.  They have helped us drastically reduce our risk and if mother nature is cooperating we can achieve higher yields.  This ROI is one of the highest we’ve seen on any input we have used on our farm.

The results have truly been amazing, at very low rates and investment we are getting more nutrients into the plants in a foliar application than we ever thought was possible ... These tiny nutrient particles are quickly absorbed and utilized by the plants at a fraction of the price of traditional granular fertilizer.
